The Air We Breathe

The World Health Organization just released a new study on the quality of air worldwide.

Read the following words and phrases and their definitions.
  • polluted - dirty and not safe or suitable to use
  • the vast majority of the global population - by far the most people on earth
  • pollutants - substance that make land, water, air, etc., dirty and not safe or suitable to use
  • charcoal - a hard black material that is made by burning wood with a small amount of air
  • wood and charcoal power stoves - devices that burn wood or charcoal for heating or cooking
  • the upside - the positive part
  • comprehensive - including most or all things
  • toxic - containing poisonous substances [giftig]
  • condition - a sickness or disease that a person has for a long time
