Record-Breaking Teen

This week, US teenager Broc Brown was in the news for breaking records. Find out more in the video.

Read the following words and phrases and their definitions.
  • astonishing - causing a feeling of great surprise or wonder
  • genetic disorder - a physical condition that is not healthy and that somebody is born with
  • spine - the row of connected bones down the middle of your back
  • kidney - one of the two organs in your body that remove waste products from your blood and make urine

First some handy background information
A foot (pl. feet) is a common length unit used in Imperial system and the current US customary unit system. A foot has 12 inches, and 3 foot make a yard. The abbreviation for foot is ft.
1 foot = 0.3048 meter.
1 meter = 3.28 feet.
Multiply any meter measurement by 3.28 to convert to feet.
