Concert Etiquette

Adele is touring Europe. She’ll be giving concerts in Netherlands and Belgium this and next week. Previously, she performed in Verona in Italy. In the video, Erin Robinson tells what happened there.

Read the following words and phrases and their definitions.
  • call somebody out - speak directly to somebody to say something about this person’s actions
  • tripod - a support or stand for a camera, telescope, etc., that has three legs
  • take something to a whole other level - make something much bigger
  • roar with applause - clap your hands and shout and yell enthusiastically
First read the assignment. Next watch the video. Take notes to help you do the assignment.

  1. Name 2 or more reasons Adele gives the lady to convince her to stop filming.

  2. Did the audience agree with Adele? Explain your answer.

  3. Adele isn’t alone in this. Other artists have said that fans holding cameras makes them feel like they're living in a fishbowl.
    Explain the underlined expression.

  4. What advice does Erin give us at the end?

  5. What do you think about Adele calling out fans on this? Write a comment for the comment section (30 or more words).
